Height Safety Equipment Audits & Inspections
We assess your current height safety equipment and procedures to identify any hazards, compliance issues, or opportunities for improvement. We then provide you with a detailed report and photos. Our inspection process determines whether your systems meet Australian Standards and provides recommendations and a detailed quote for any required rectifications or upgrades—ensuring full compliance and optimal safety for your workers.
Height Safety Equipment Requirements
Regular compliance inspections are not only a legal obligation for PCBUs (Persons Conducting a Business or Undertaking), but they’re also essential for the safety of anyone working at heights. To meet Australian Standards, state legislation, and relevant codes of practice, periodic inspections of your height safety systems and equipment are mandatory. These inspections ensure your fall protection systems are properly maintained, fit for purpose, and ready to keep workers safe.

Australian Standards and regulations for height safety systems
Compliance inspections are governed by several key Australian Standards and regulations that dictate the requirements for design, installation, and maintenance of height safety systems, including:
AS/NZS 1891.4 – Industrial Fall-Arrest Systems and Devices
AS 1657 – Fixed Platforms, Walkways, Stairways, and Ladders
AS/NZS 5532 – Manufacturing Requirements for Anchor Points
AS/NZS 4488.1 – Industrial Rope Access Systems Specifications
Safe Work Australia and various state regulators: each federal and state/territory jurisdiction has codes for protecting workers. The standards are underpinned by the Work Health and Safety (WHS) Regulations, which mandate regular inspections and the provision of safe access systems for all workers operating at heights.
Ensure your systems are inspected regularly to maintain safety and compliance.
Height Safety System Installation
Our height safety system installation service ensures that your safety systems are expertly set up to meet industry standards and your unique needs.
We then certify your system to make it compliant and functioning effectively, ensuring ongoing safety for all users.
Height Safety Components
Roof Anchor Points
Fixed points for securing safety harnesses and equipment.
Static Line Systems
Continuous lines that allow workers to move while remaining secured.
Roof Walkway Systems
Designated pathways on roofs to provide safe access and reduce slip hazards.
Permanent Roof Guardrail Systems
Installed guardrail to prevent falls from edges.
Roof Ladders
Specialized ladders designed for safe access to roofs.
Roof Access Stairs
Permanent stair systems for safe roof access.
Plant Platforms & Access Systems
Elevated platforms providing safe access to equipment or machinery.
Skylight Protection
Systems to prevent falls through skylights.
Roof Access Hatches
Safe entry points for accessing roofs from inside buildings.
Overhead Rails
Systems designed for fall protection in overhead work areas.
Rope Access
Davits, rigid rail and abseil rate anchor points.
Height Safety System Recertification
For existing height saferty systems, recertification inspections should be carried out regularly—typically every 12 months as recommended by AS/NZS 1891.4—but more frequent checks may be needed for high-use systems or those exposed to harsh environments. The AS/NZS1891.4 standard governs the inspections and maintenance of safe access and fall protection systems. It states that “items of equipment which are in regular use shall be subjected to periodic inspection and where applicable, servicing”. These inspections should be carried out in accordance with the manufacturers instructions,
We conduct a detailed inspection on-site, examining all system components for signs of damage, wear, or corrosion. Fixings and anchor layouts are also reviewed to ensure proper installation and effective fall restraint coverage. Systems found to be compliant are certified, while any faults are documented in a report with recommendations for corrective action.
